# RNS-over-FIPS Interface and FIPS-over-RNS-Interfaces. What for?

Yesterday I've seen that someone integrated FIPS into Reticulum network and vice versa. What do you think about it? Is there a usecase? Is there even a license issue?

My unqualified assumption was that you only have to connect to a FIPS TUN port to use it. But it seems to have been more complicated.
