Okay, I know that Mark's been too busy to take feature requests these days, so I've taken it upon myself to make some tweaks I wanted in NomadNet to a private fork. It's now gotten to a point where I feel those tweaks might prove useful to a wider audience, so I'm releasing them publicly. I welcome feedback, suggestions, and am happy to contribute any changes upstream.
What I've done so far:
- Added alternate Alt+Y and Alt+U keybindings to the RRC client because Ctrl+Y and Ctrl+U can't be used while the message entry field is focused. The original keybindings remain intact.
- Implemented the Ctrl+M keybinding to automatically focus the tab menu bar as per the roadmap. Since my terminal interprets Ctrl+M as a carriage return, I've also bound Alt+M as an alternate keybinding for this purpose.
- Added a "find in page" feature to the browser that allows you to use Alt+F (Ctrl+F being already bound to the "forward" feature) to specify text to search for in the currently displayed page.
I am a human developer with many years of programming experience. I have not now, nor will I ever, incorporat(ed) LLM slop into my work. All of these changes were 100% human-made. See the work docs for details on individual features. I mark them as completed when they're merged into my fork, but the individual feature branches won't be deleted unless they happen to get merged upstream. That way people can selectively merge specific features into their own private forks if they like.
