MeshChatX rpm version not connecting

Does anybody know how to get the desktop app working on Fedora?
I've had success running the web version in a browser installed from pip, connected to the local shared rnsd. This way all interfaces are recognized and usable.
But when I run the rpm electron app it recognizes the available interfaces, showing "enabled" but also "Link down" and no communication is possible.
Built it myself from the dev branch, running version 4.7.0 seems to fix the problem.
