# Phone extension idea | Electrical Engineers Needed

Heya,
here's my idea for building a reticulum phone extension to allow reticulum be used by consumers, maybe someone likes this and draw some inspiration from it:

- Lora antenna + Microcontroller
- Attachable to phones via Magsafe
- Communicates safely to phone via NFC
  - Connection either via Lora or I2p/Tor from the phone as interfance
- Magsafe battery 
  selling point for people who don't know a reason why they would attach an antenna to their phone
- Loss/Steal Prevention  
  By having an additional antenna on your body, when the signal cuts off/ the distance is too short 
  you get a loud beep

Optional:
- All storage for operation on board 
  Many of my friends reject additional programs bc of storage problems
- Board powered by solar
  I don't think solar's enough to power the phone but atleast the board doesn't take any battery life
- ZFS storage attached, files shared via reticulum
  I like to have all my file storage on ZFS, so if I were to attach an ZFS storage on my phone I        
  could even have the benefits of ZFS on my phone's files

checkout youtube meshtastic folks already have a decent design for magsafe devices. you could spin off from there and save time
