Forcing a path over rnode interface?

Maybe a weird question but I'd like to set a static route/path to one particular destination via my rnode/lora interface?
I'm testing the radio path and when it becomes marginal, rnsd does the right thing and sends it over a better non radio interface.
Just wondering if there is any way round this just for one destination rnode (probe responder) address.
The only way I have found so far to reliably to it, is restart rnsd with a config file which only contains the rnode interface but this is not ideal.
Thanks

make an ifac protected interface on the node
