Hi everybody! I'm looking at setting up a solar transport node...

I got a Heltec v4 and a nice solar enclosure so that I could hopefully have it connected to my main machine via LocalInterface on my wifi, and then have the solar node on the roof sending and receiving LoRa.

I've not been keeping up with the forums much since around the time of the deletion of the Element group, what's the best/most user friendly way to do that these days from the software side? I remember the RTnode project, is there anything better?

Atterman's microReticulum firmware can run as a Transport node and supports Heltec v4 boards

You'll just need to do a slight change of the code with this patch if it is a Heltec v4, not needed on 4.3 boards though
